The Temecula Valley Balloon and Wine Festival was started in 1983, and has grown to include music and was eventually moved to pretty Lake Skinner. The Temecula Balloon and Wine Festival has become a celebration of life with flavor and appeal for everyone and has become the premier event in the beautiful Temecula Valley. The balloon launch is scheduled for 6:30, and generally ends around 8:30, with folks following the balloons in their cars (if they are so inclined). After the launch, we could visit the popular Farmer’s Market which offers a wealth of fresh produce, flowers, and crafts, all waiting to be photographed. We could then wander through the heart of Temecula, the Old Town district blends historic buildings with over 640 antique dealers, unique shopping, and restaurants, where we could stop for a bite to eat. After lunch we could do a wine tasting or tour a vineyard for more photo opportunities. At any time we could head back to the festival, to take festival photos, take in the live music or see the free style motocross do their thing (and practice our sports photography). If anyone still has any steam left, the balloon glow starts at sundown (around 8:00) for possibly the most beautiful photographs of hot air balloons one could take! Costs: .00 entrance fee for adults .00 parking per car Carpooling: For folks in LA, northern OC and northern Riverside counties, we could meet at 5:15 (yes, that’s am) at the North Main Metrolink park and ride, located off the 91 at N. I came across a website 6 months ago that would show the various car dealership in my area. It would then show the invoice price, the dealer cost, the average price paid based on recent sales.
